My Grant Writing Experience in the Office of Sponsored Programs

For my final semester of college, I had the privilege to work under Gloria White, the director of Office of Sponsored Programs at St. Edward's University.

During this internship, I met weekly to learn the "world of grants" and hone my craft in grant writing. By the end, I produced my own grant proposal, had copyedited many of the office's in-progress applications, and interviewed two key professionals who work in development at the university.

I found, from this, how valuable grant funding is for organizations and institutions. St. Edward's is a Hispanic Serving Institution, and many of my projects looked at how funding opportunities and proposals were built around this demographic.

See below for infographics developed from my experience, in addition to a pdf sample grant proposal that I wrote*.
